We're launching something new dzSOL is an LST for the Solana ecosystem which supports not only the geographic decentralization of the Solana network, but accelerates the performance improvements of the network by scaling the bandwidth available to validators. Each increase in bandwidth and reduction in latency is more 'horsepower' available for Anza, FireDancer, and Jito to put in service of scaling Solana 🔥 But how does dzSOL work? It's an LST that will stake to validators operating on DoubleZero, outside of areas with high stake concentration. The goal of the project is two fold 1) attract stake to new geographies, and reduce the penalties (perceived or actual) for running a Solana validator away from stake gravity wells 2) the program is linked to the expansion of fiber capacity globally to underserved markets where the quality of public internet makes it difficult to run validators.
