Wind and solar require backup from peaker gas plants or batteries, which cost more than THREE TIMES as much as baseload power. Adding more dispatchable resources to the grid can actually INCREASE price spikes and power shortages. A COMMON SENSE approach to America’s energy sector is what will help secure our grid. 😉
