It took us around 45 years to grow the world economy by 10x, all while the global labor force participation rate steadily declined. That trend is only going to accelerate from here. My guess is that over the next 10–20 years, we’ll see global GDP push into the quadrillions, while fewer than 50% of the population are actually employed. With the rise of (physical) AI, we’re hitting an inflection point where the productivity of the global economy will grow faster than ever before, as machines and robots become true economic participants. This means that even as labor force participation drops lower than we ever imagined, the number of economic contributors to global output will absolutely explode. And when you factor in crypto and blockchain, which will make many of these systems faster, cheaper, more autonomous, and more efficient - it becomes obvious: We’re heading into a future that’s as exciting as it is unsettling. But one thing is certain: it’s coming. So you’d better position yourself while you still can.
