How do you live your life? Most people do one of the following when faced with speed-controlled traffic lights: - They drive below the speed limit to avoid triggering the light - They go over the limit and then brake hard when the light gets triggered This is how most of us live life. We do the bare minimum to keep moving forward, or at least to stay at the “normal” pace for our age. We don’t expect much, and rarely try to face things that make us feel alive or help us grow. Most of us drive below the limit. Sometimes, we try something new like a hobby or a different career. But right before making a big move, we slam the brakes out of fear of what might happen, and go back to comfort. Here’s the funny thing: If you go way over the limit into speed-controlled traffic lights, most of the time the light doesn’t even change, it stays green. And even if it does trigger, if you keep speeding up, you still have time to pass before it turns red. What does this show? Most people don’t believe they can reach their goals, and they’re too afraid to even take the first step. The truth is: you only escape the monotony and stop being average if you have the courage to accelerate. You can do great things, successful people are often not smarter than the average, but just obsessed with what they're doing. People talk a lot about the Matrix but to me, monotony is the matrix *THIS IS NOT DRIVING AVICE*
