The post-religious right, reactionary right, new right, whatever you want to call it, is fundamentally a high IQ, high openness, low neuroticism cohort. Their hardline views on immigration, public safety, and culture don’t come from bias, ignorance, anxiety about change, insecurity, or lack of exposure to other ways of doing things. They come post-exposure. They reject the left’s position not because they don’t see what you see, but because they do.
