Technology's daily show. Hosted by @johncoogan and @jordihays. Streaming live 11AM-2PM PT every weekday and available on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube.
We sat down with @gabepereyra (President & Co-Founder @harvey__ai) on AI's impact in the legal sector:
"I think it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. My guess is long term, partners' billables are undervalued. If you want to do a massive public merger, that partner is worth much more than $3,000 an hour. There will be a change in charging but we're still in early days."
"It's about how do you get adoption and start upscaling workers to start using this technology."

Could civil service become the next great career accelerator?
Scott Kupor (@skupor), director of OPM (and ex @a16z partner), thinks so.
“Take all the smartest people, have them come here for two years… Let’s forgive some student debt as part of that.”
“We’re going to get a private-sector employer to guarantee you a job when you finish your two years here and give you full credit for the time.”
His blueprint borrows from the Civilian Conservation Corps playbook and raises the bar:
1) Create a two-year tour of duty for young talent
2) Pair public-service impact with substantial financial upside
3) Build career pathways that flow back into tech
“Make government cool again: MGCA.”

We asked @samirchaudry about conversations with AI leaders and the broader implications of AI on society:
"Colin and I did get the opportunity to spend time with Sam Altman."
"My curiosity is to understand the incentives of the creators of these (AI) programs."
"I understand the desire to create and innovate and to be number 1 but the implications of this are pretty different than anything else. Advances in AI are going to change human society in ways we can't imagine."

We asked @samirchaudry about where AI is headed.
He has interviewed major players like Sam Altman, Mustafa Suleyman, and Reid Hoffman.
“I understand the desire to create and innovate… But the implications of this are pretty different than anything else.”
“Advances in AI are going to change human society in ways we can’t imagine.”
Curiosity, ambition, and speed are driving breakthroughs faster than society can process what they mean.

In conversation with @danwrightSF (Co-Founder & CEO @armada_ai)
about the future of cloud infrastructure:
"We're building the hyperscaler for the edge. Our approach is full stack which includes the hardware, software, and AI. Think Azure or AWS, but for the 70% of the world they don't cover."
"We see a world of distributed compute. We're building rapidly deployable mobile infrastructure co-located with energy and data, ideal for places like oil rigs or battleships needing real-time processing."

We sat down with @willahmed (Founder & CEO @WHOOP) to discuss wellness tech regulation.
"The role of the FDA is to regulate products that have a medical diagnosis.
"The 21st Century Cures Act makes it clear that if a product is intended for wellness, it's not designed to be regulated."
"For example, you can say hours of sleep staging is wellness. An apnea diagnosis is medical."
"We brought blood pressure insights to market; FDA says it should be regulated."
"We built this wellness feature and now we're in a debate with the FDA over it. But we're fighting to keep this product in the market because at the end of the day, it's the right thing to do."

Flo Crivello (@Altimor) on using the new @getlindy 3.0 agents internally:
"One of the most insane things it’s automated for us is replacing the QA engineer. Every hour, a Lindy agent wakes up, tests the entire core flow, and if anything goes wrong, it pings the on-call engineer. It works beautifully."

Announcing a new chapter for AI agents: Lindy 3.0.
Our vision has always been the "Al employee": as capable as humans (can do anything on a computer) and as easy to use (just ask).
3.0 takes 3 giant steps in this direction, with Agent Builder, Autopilot, and Team Collaboration.

IN NEWS: @KnitOfficial_ has raised a $16.1M Series A led by GFT Ventures and Ashton Kutcher's Sound Ventures.
"What we're hanging our hat on is researcher-driven AI. We always have the researcher at the center. Understanding how this data shows up in your business is vital to how you actually sell it into the organization." - @aneeshdaone
"We've invested heavily in an internal research team so all of our customers are paired with an expert. That gets the AI to where our research customers can take a good first draft, clean it up, and share it with stakeholders quickly."

.@samirchaudry on AI's impact on the entertainment industry:
"My first POV on AI right now is that we don't talk about AI and prompting as entertainment enough. It's entertaining to chat with an LLM."
"As a content creator, we're in the business of attention and we're looking to create something meaningful enough to capture attention, and Sam Altman has done that with AI."
"Creators think about AI producing graphics and VFX and then people are out of jobs. But also, we might be out of jobs if AI itself is entertaining."
"Almost every creator uses AI for production in some way, shape, or form."
